CARE

I will be adding several care topics in the future.  If you have any specific questions about caring for a Havana Brown cat, please let me know. 

 

Coat.  The Havana Brown cat has a single coat.  Care for the coat is very easy and does not require a lot of grooming.  Excessive grooming can result in "bald" spots.  Recommend once a month to use a Rubber Brush pictured below.  Gently, brush your cat to loosen any old/dead hairs.  DO NOT OVER COMB!!!

Bathing.  Richard Bilello mentioned a Ring 5 Burnished Bronze Shampoo in his CFA article.  If you would like to purchase the shampoo, I found it at this link.  It is from http://www.worldwidepetsupply.com.  It is quite reasonably priced at $3.59 for a 12 ounce bottle.

 

Food.  Highly recommend the food items identified above.  I order items from www.petopia.com in bulk and have never experienced any problems.  Prices are very reasonable and delivery is great.

Accessories:  I use both of the Litter Maid Automatic Self-Cleaning Litter Boxes below.  They are heaven-sent!  I purchased my first one over 2-years ago and it's working like a charm.  Recommend the Mega size for male cats, since they require more room.
